Nansea Cross has a lot of experience and a lot of passion about teaching math. She understands how many students struggle with the subject and dislike math. She is also deeply concerned with how math is being taught in this day and age. With all the testing and standards in place, students are not mastering basic skills and building on them. Mind-Blowing Math is intended to get back to the basics, make learning math more fun and interesting along with building a solid foundation upon which to grow.

Nansea spent over 10 years teaching “At Risk” students to master Algebra and Geometry and higher-level math, when their skill levels were at a very low – elementary level. Through this challenge she developed several innovative teaching methods to reach her students. As she realized that so many students are struggling with math, she found interesting patterns and sequences hidden in numbers. She believes that teaching these concepts to students will excite them and encourage them to pursue their involvement with math. Nansea continues to tutor students one-on-one and truly enjoys helping them to succeed in math.
